Divorce Coaching is Therapeutic
Most of my clients work with both a therapist and a coach. In fact, a divorce coach is the missing link between a therapist (a generalist whose work is based in the past) and a lawyer. As a trained professional, I respect the boundaries of other professionals involved in the process, such as lawyers, mediators and financial experts. Unlike a mediator or family therapist, however, a divorce coach is not neutral, and wholeheartedly supports the client’s needs.
The divorce coaching process is a therapeutic experience. There will be sadness, processing of emotions, much compassion, joy, empathy, encouragement, accountability, and – yes – tears (the cathartic kind)! You will feel heard, understood and acknowledged. You will find divorce coaching very supportive, explorative, and motivating.
